Black Hills Regional Eye Institute is seeking a skilled and motivated Retina Imaging Technician to join our specialty ophthalmology practice. This position plays a vital role in supporting our retina specialists by capturing high-quality diagnostic images and ensuring an exceptional patient experience.
Position Summary
The Retina Imaging Technician is responsible for performing advanced ophthalmic imaging and assisting in the clinical evaluation of patients with retinal conditions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, patient-focused.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform ophthalmic imaging, including:
- Optical Coherence Tomography
- Fundus photography
- Fluorescein angiography
- Electroretinogram
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures and explain testing clearly
- Ensure accuracy and quality of all captured images
- Document findings appropriately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment
- Adhere to all clinical protocols and patient safety standards
Qualifications
- Prior experience in ophthalmology a plus but not required
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
