Job Description
Dakota State University is seeking applications for a full-time facility worker. Primary responsibilities include custodial care and minor maintenance within a residence hall.
The position will be scheduled Monday through Friday from either 6:00am – 2:30pm or 7:00am – 3:30pm.
Responsibilities:
- Floor care mainly vacuuming and mopping but could include scrubbing, waxing, and shampooing carpets.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms and kitchens.
- Collect and remove trash from building.
- Dust and wash walls, woodwork, and windows (inside and out).
- Remove snow from steps and sidewalks near buildings.
- Moving furniture.
Successful candidate must be able to:
- Follow written and oral instructions.
- Stand for extended periods of time.
- Work with students, staff, and the public courteously.
- Work independently.
- Lift 50 pounds.
- Bend, stretch, climb ladders, twist and walk.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (Sponsorship is not available for this position.)
