The Deli Manager helps supervise the day-to-day food service operations and works closely with the Food Service Operations Manager. The Deli Manager is a vital member of our organization playing an essential role in the retention of team members, providing a welcoming, positive experience to customers, and ensuring food quality is maintained. The self-motivated, service-orientated individual will be accountable for demonstrating Northdale’s culture of exceptional customer service, serving high quality product, and a team orientated mindset.
Pay: $16.50-$18.50
Responsibilities and Duties
- Maintain high level of customer service.
- Assist in recruiting, training, and motivating individuals.
- Schedule staff, assign duties, and manage productivity and efficiency of processes.
- Supervise and communicate company policy.
- Assist in performing, implementing, and enforcing established daily operating procedures to ensure deli is clean, stocked, organized, and well kept.
- Maintain quality brand image standards.
- Maintain product quality, margin control, and waste management.
- Operate all food service processes: order, stock, label, date, rotate, prepare, and cook.
- Oversee food preparation, portion sizes, and the overall presentation of food.
- Communicate any merchandising problems, price change requests, and equipment problems.
- Enforce all safety policies and procedures and report all employee and/or customer incidents.
- Follow and ensure all health and food safety regulations are met.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required.
- 1+ year of retail deli management or leadership preferred.
- ServSafe Certification

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, and problem-solve.
